Moorakyne is located at Murrumbateman, in the cool climate wine district of the southern tablelands of NSW, not far from Canberra, Australia. The dogs at Moorakyne are very much a part of the family. I usually only have 6 dogs at a time, so I can give all of them the time and attention they deserve. I breed occasionally when I am in a position to add a new member to my family.

My involvement with Border Collies started in 1986 when I purchased "Maggie" - Ch. Binnawarra Classique. Maggie had a successful show career, won numerous in group awards and was awarded reserve challenge at Sydney Royal in 1988, Maggie also won many best-gaited classes.

In 1988 "Molly" - Ch. Windygyle Penny Lane was purchased from Bruce and Carol McKenzie. Molly was a most beautiful bitch and had an outstanding show career. Following an injury, Molly retired from the show ring at 6 years of age, through loss of an eye. At the time she had accumulated more than 2000 challenge points.

The latest additions at Moorakyne - both grand daughters of Molly, are - Maghera Come As You Are, (Georgia) and Eumundi Abbey Road (Jade)
